Until we can safely provide in-person storytimes again, we're hosting live, virtual storytimes via Zoom every Wednesday at 10:00am. These storytimes cycle through three of our most popular storytimes:
To join us, visit our calendar and click on the storytime event for full details including Zoom meeting information. These storytimes are not recorded for privacy and copyright reasons. Join us with your own webcam for a full experience (optional, but fun)!
Preschool Storytime is our most "traditional" storytime designed with ages 3-6 in mind. We sing songs, move and rhyme, and of course read lots of stories. Preschool storytime has a wide scope, featuring myrid topics and formats. You never know what you'll find in storytime each week! This storytime is presented primarily in English.
Art & Science Storytime is a more advanced storytime designed with preschool and early elementary ages in mind. Often there will be a corresponding take-home activity participants can pick up during the library's curbside pickup service (Monday through Saturday, 1:00 - 3:00 pm). This storytime is presented primarily in English.
Cuentos is a bilingual, all-ages storytime for all families with preschool to elementary school aged children. While presented in both Spanish and English, you only need to understand one of the languages to fully enjoy this wonderful storytime. Librarian Kristen highlights books from Spanish-speaking countries, authors, and artists as well as cultural traditions.

Cheer on the race walking athletes competing for a place on the Olympic team on June 26th. The trial is happening on 5th and Main Streets, starting from the City Hall Fountain Plaza. As the plaza, City Hall, and the parking lots will be used for the trials, library services will be suspended for the day. The library will resume services on Monday, June 28th.
We are very encouraged by the new facemask guidance issued by the CDC and the Oregon Governor’s Office over the last few days. However, this updated guidance is not yet reflected within existing OHA guidance and Oregon Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) rules. As a City department, the library is required to follow the OHA and OSHA rules. We ask your cooperation as we await additional clarity, and to continue to wear masks while in the library and City Hall.
