Springfield Public Library | 225 5th Street [Inside City Hall] | Springfield, OR 97477-4636 | (541) 726-3766
Cheer on the race walking athletes competing for a place on the Olympic team on June 26th. The trial is happening on 5th and Main Streets, starting from the City Hall Fountain Plaza. As the plaza, City Hall, and the parking lots will be used for the trials, library services will be suspended for the day. The library will resume services on Monday, June 28th.
We are very encouraged by the new facemask guidance issued by the CDC and the Oregon Governor’s Office over the last few days. However, this updated guidance is not yet reflected within existing OHA guidance and Oregon Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) rules. As a City department, the library is required to follow the OHA and OSHA rules. We ask your cooperation as we await additional clarity, and to continue to wear masks while in the library and City Hall.
