SPL Book Clubs

Even in these socially distanced days, our book clubs are still going strong. Our consistently expanding options provide readers of all ages a group with which to experience a wide variety of books. Each book club's registration and participation expectations are unique, so be sure to read the full details on the calendar events pages.

Teen Book Club

At Teen Book Club, we talk books in general. Come and discuss good books whether or not you've read the month's chosen title. Teen book club is open to teens ages 13+ and meets every third Thursday at 4:30pm.

Grupo de Lectura

 ¡Lea con nosotros en el grupo de lectura en español! Se invita a toda la comunidad a participar en este grupo de leer y charlar. Nos reunimos por internet dos veces con cada libro que leemos: un sábado,de las 3-5pm y un viernes de las 5:30-7:30pm. Hay fechas y más información en nuestro calendario de eventos. Hay copias electrónicas de casi cada libro que leemos con Library2go. Tambien contamos con copias impresas del libro para participantes del grupo. Si tienes preguntas, quiere obtener una copia del libro o  para anotarse visite el evento en el calendario o marque 541-726-3766.

The Springfield Public Library is offering monthly a Spanish Language Book Group. Register online to reserve a copy of the book (or check out the digital copy on Library2Go) and attend the virtual discussions. This group meets two months in a row to discuss each title: once on a Saturday, from 3:00-5:00pm, and once on a Friday,  from 5:30-7:30 p.m. Dates and more information are available on our events calendar. This book group is open to the public. Digital copies of the book are available to Oregon library card holders through Library2Go. Free book group copies (printed paper) of the book can be borrowed by participants who preregister online or over the phone. Preregistration is suggested, but not required

WillamaLibrary Book Group

The long-running WillamaLibrary book club reads a wide variety of books, ranging from the latest mystery to classic literature to non-fiction. The group meets monthly to discuss the latest official selection as well as anything else they have read recently.
